March Is Reading Month

We Celebrated School Breakfast During the Month Of March!

A Thank You from Jump Rope for Heart

Thanks go out to our school families and all the fund raising that they did for the American Heart Association! The students at the Scottville Elem. & the Upper Elem. buildings raised over $4,500 through collections for Jump Rope For Heart while making their hearts healthier. PE classes spent much of the month of March jumping rope in class concluding the unit with our Jump Rope For Heart event. Students were able to use individual jump ropes, long jump ropes and Chinese jump ropes learning basic jumping and some new tricks. Some can now jump into a spinning ripe, some can now jump a individual rope inside of a long rope, some tried double dutch (tow ropes swinging in opposite directions), we had whole classes trying to jump one rope and some just learned how to jump for the very first time! Jumping rope is a great aerobic activity that everyone can learn how to do. Thanks again to all who donated to this wonderful cause and thanks to all the students who jumped and jumped and jumped!!!

Box Tops for Education Winter Collection

Thank you for all of your efforts with the box top clipping for Scottville Elementary. The K-2 building collected just under 6000 box tops during this collection cycle. Great Job! Congratulations to Mrs. Ramseyer's First Grade Class for winning the classroom competition with a total of 1292 box tops. Continue clipping & saving the box tops. Send them into the office at your convenience - Just remember to mark them with the students name and teacher's name.
